Obituary for Elias “Gabby” Martin Elias “Gabby” Martin, 78, a native and resident of Chauvin, Lousiana passed away on September 2, 2018. A visitation will be held in his honor on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, Louisiana from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. The burial will follow in St. Elie Cemetery in Chauvin, Lousiana.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Norma LeBlanc Martin; sons, Timothy “Timmy” (Janie), Todd (Jenny); and daughter, Tammy (Amos Cadiere); brothers, Ruffin and Tommy Martin Jr. (Roselyn); grandchildren, Nikki Blanchard (Kevin), Dustin Martin (Betsy), Jenna Gaubert (Ridge), Justin Martin (Brooke), Ashley Gautreaux (Joshua), and Nancy Green (Joshua); great-grandchildren, Gracie Blanchard, Spencer Uzee, Lane Gaubert, Rhett Gaubert, Kensley Martin, Zoe-Mae Soudelier, Katelynn Soudelier, Gabriella “Gabby” Soudelier, Jonathan Todd Jr., Jayden Gautreaux, and Hunter “Honeybun” Verdin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lena Verret Martin; brothers, Roland, Francis, and Ruben Martin; and sisters, Iona Boquet and Marlin Neil. From the time he was old enough to the time he passed away, Gabby could be found working in his garden.
