Brenda Gibson, age 58, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Edwardsville Care Center, Edwardsville, IL. Brenda was born on March 17, 1960 in Granite City, IL, a daughter of the late William W. Gibson and Ruby L. (Payne) Gibson. Brenda never met a stranger and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She loved life, she loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family, especially her momma. Brenda will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Gibson and Larry “Odie” Gibson.

She is survived by her loving brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Lori Gibson of Edwardsville, IL and Ron (Wanda) Gibson of Granite City, IL; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; extended family and many dear friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road, Glen Carbon, IL. In celebration of her life, funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral chapel.

Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL. Memorial donations may be given to Heartland Hospice. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel.
