Obituary for Brian Stewart Brian Edward Stewart, 46 of Murphysboro, passed away at 12:19 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at his residence in Murphysboro. Brian was born on December 19, 1971, in Carbondale, Illinois, to John Edward Stewart and Roberta Marie (Furlow) Stewart Michaels. He worked as a lead person at Penn Aluminum in Murphysboro.

Brian was an avid hunter, fisherman and sportsman. He was also a craftsman and loved to cook. Brian married Tina Pritchett on October 1, 1994, at the First Baptist Church in Cobden, where he was a member.

Survivors include his wife Tina of Murphysboro, his mother and step father Roberta and Gary Michael of Cobden, one son Adam Stewart of Murphysboro, one step daughter Ashley Schoolcraft of Carbondale, and one sister Heather Stewart of Colorado Springs, CO. He had many other family members and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, June 15, 2018, at Pettett Funeral Home and burial at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
