Carl Turner, 78, of Bondurant, Iowa, formerly of the Quad Cities, passed away Tuesday October 23, 2018 in Des Moines. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 11:00am to service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Following the services, the family will gather at the Milan American Legion for a luncheon. Memorials may be left to the family. Carl was born on March 6, 1940 in Missouri, the son of Porter and Dora (Talley) Turner.

Mr. Turner had been the owner of Blackhawk Janitorial and later worked as a subcontractor in construction. After his retirement he worked at Adventure Land in Des Moines. He loved his children and enjoyed going to flea markets, garage sales and woodworking.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Turner, Bondurant, IA; children and spouses, Earl (Lea) Turner, Rock Island, Terry Turner, Des Moines, Cindy (Carl) Turner, Davenport, Don (Candy) Turner, Independence, IA, Tracey (John) Reese, Bondurant, IA, Chris Adams, Urbandale, Jack Adams Jr., Kansas City, Mo. , Howie (Chris) Frye, Slivis and James Masengarb, Des Moines; 19 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Eleanor Carr, East Moline. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Dorothy Smith and brother, Donald Turner.
