He was born in Logan County on April 14, 1946 to the late Alphis Freeman Belcher and the late Mary Wilma (Brown) Belcher Reid. Carlos was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents William and Onie Brown, Paternal Grandparents Irvin and Carrie Belcher, step father Ralph Joe Reid.

He is survived by his: Five brothers Wayne Belcher (Joyce) of Russellville, Ralph Daniel Reid (Janice) of Farmington, Michigan, Stephen Reid of Pontiac, Michigan, Kenneth Belcher (Becky) of Russellville and Bobby Belcher (Sue) of Dickson, Tennessee, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Graveside services for Carlos Gene Belcher will be conducted Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Oak Grove Cemetery with Bro. Gene Bracken officiating.
