Carmela C. Pedace peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 8, 1916 to the late Salvatore and Josephine Cimino. Carmela was 102 years old.

Carmela worked as a seamstress in NYC’s garment district. She resided in Elmurst, NY with her beloved husband of 54 years, Tony, who was a proud veteran of WWII. They had one child, Gloria Pedace.

Both her husband and daughter preceded Carmela in death. Carmela came to Stamford, CT to live with her niece, Linda. Carmela was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Adalbert Roman Catholic Church’s Golden Ages Club and Mashpeth’s Senior Citizen’s Club.

Carmela is survived by her niece; Linda Chriscoe and her husband, Larry, and daughter Theresa. In addition to her husband and daughter, Carmela was predeceased by her sister, Theresa. A wake will be held for Carmela on the evening of Tuesday, November 6, 2018, from 6pm to 8pm, at Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford.

A mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, November 7th at 10am at Our Lady Star of the Sea R.C. Church, 1200 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902. The interment will follow mass at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Our Lady Star of the Sea R.C. Church, 1200 Shippan Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 or at ourladystaroftheseastamford.org The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Avenue, in Stamford.
