Carol Marilyn Eason, 78, of Locust, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Concord Place Senior Living in Concord. Mrs. Eason was born June 2, 1940 in Cabarrus County to the late Carl Jason Small and the late Wilma Elizabeth Small. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Eason; a sister, Barbara Ann King; and a brother, Richard Small.

Marilyn was retired from Duke Energy. She loved her family and her church family at Bethel United Methodist Church very much. Helping others was Marilyn’s great joy.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. A memorial service will be on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Bethel United Methodist Church, 12700 Idlebrook Road in Midland officiated by Pastor Mark Clontz. Survivors include daughter, Jennifer (Clifton) Swink of Locust; brothers, Gary (Jamie) Small and Bill Small; grandchildren, Jesse (Beth) Swink and Carley (Trey) Swink Barbee.
