NEW PALESTINE – Carolyn D. (Colvin) Jonas, age 76, of New Palestine, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at Community North Hospital. She was born in Finly, Indiana on September 16, 1942 to Roy and Ella Mae (Pike) Colvin. She attended New Palestine High School.

She married Raymond L. Jonas on December 6, 1958. Carolyn owned C&M Wall Coverings for 21 years in New Palestine. She was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

In her free time, she enjoyed yardwork and tending to her flowers, sewing, decorating and most of all spending time with her family. Carolyn loved being a grandma to her three grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Kevin Jonas of New Palestine; Daughter, Kim (Brad) Romeril of Greenfield; and Grandchildren, Jordan Mattick, Brandon Jonas, and Morgan Jonas.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Raymond; Parents, Roy and Ella Mae; and Sister, Mardenna Seifert. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN. Pastor Tommy Hensley will be officiating.

Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made by mail to Hancock Regional Hospice 801 N State St, Greenfield, IN 46140, or envelopes will be available at the mortuary. Friends may share a memory or a condolence at www.
