Charla Dee (Manary) Pinney born March 3, 1940 in Marshfield, Missouri died peacefully on October 2, 2018 due to health complications at the Antioch Medical Center in Antioch, California. She was a resident of Alamo, California and enjoyed raising her family in the community for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Lee Manary and Shirley Dean (Jones) Manary as well as her loving husband of 42 years, Bill (Humphrey) Pinney.

Survived by her brother (Rollo) Charles Manary, Sister (Lori) Dolores Jean (Manary) Garcia, Son, George Miller Pinney, his wife, Della. Also survived by three grandchildren; Charla Ann (Pinney) Dominguez, Christina Marie Pinney, and George Joshua Pinney and three Great Grand children; Ethan, Sofi, and Luci Dominguez. She has been one of the first women to be appointed on the California Labor board, assisting in paving the way for women.

Worked in Retail Human res as V.P. Emporium Capwells in early 80’s, as well as worked as an independent consultant in labor negotiations. She was part of the Gyro organzation who frequently helped in community causes. She was a powerful force for good and the rights of others in the workplace.

Amazing daughter, sister, Mother, gigi, wife and friend. Following her cremation; her ashes; will be buried with those of her beloved husband Bill, at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, Ca on Friday October 12, 2018 at 11:30 am. On Saturday, October 13 from 1-3 pm will be a “Celebration of Life” gathering at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1432 Laurel Road, in Oakley, Ca.
