Obituary for Charlean Salyers ST. PAUL, VIRGINIA – Charlean Salyers, 101 years old, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center, Norton, Virginia. She was born in St. Paul, Virginia; daughter of the late Charles and Nancy Hurd Salyers.

She was preceded in death by one son, Paul “Tino” Salyers; and three sisters and four brothers. She lived all of her life in St. Paul, Virginia. She is survived by four daughters, Lula Boyd and husband, Tom of Abingdon, Virginia, Shirley Suits of St. Paul, Virginia, Claudette Ervin of Dante, Virginia, and Mary Salyers of St. Paul, Virginia; four sons, Bob Salyers and wife, Mary of St. Paul, Virginia, Don Salyers and wife, Linda of Bluff City, Tennessee, Lee Roy Salyers and wife, Ann of Abingdon, Virginia, and Jack Salyers and wife, TiAnn of Castlewood, Virginia; one daughter-in-law, Susan Salyers of Michigan; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a very special grandson and caregiver, Anthony Lee and his mother, Mary Salyers both of St. Paul, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Charlean Salyers will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Ted Phillips officiating. Committal Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2018 in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia.

Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Pallbearers will be Don Salyers, Jr., Anthony Lee, Barry Young, David Young, Jack Salyers, Ronnie Holley, and Don Salyers, Sr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lincoln Puckett, Jack Kiser, Mike Campbell, Aubrey Ward, and Ezra Dye. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
