Charles’ Obituary Charles Arthur Valuet, 72, of Loris, SC, went home to be with the Lord at his home, February 18, 2019. He was born July 23, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late Glen and Marjorie (Chadwick) Valuet. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, a sales leader in commercial sales in the Detroit area for many years.

Charles was a member of The Fraternal Order of Police in Michigan, and Risen Christ Lutheran Church, North Myrtle Beach. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Margaret “Midge” (Stapchuk) Valuet; children, John Valuet (Mary), Kirk Valuet , Jason Valuet (Leika), Brett Valuet, Kevin Valuet, Brandon Valuet, Douglas Weiss (Eileen), Elaine Weiss; nineteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Glen Valuet (Mary); a sister, Linda Meyer, and his “special buddy”, Haynes Vaught. He was predeceased by a brother, Dave Green and a sister, Diane Croyle.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 21 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Myrtle Beach Funeral Home, 4505 Highway 17 Bypass South, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Risen Christ Lutheran Church, Myrtle Beach and in Detroit, Michigan. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice in his memory.
