Michael “Mikey”‘s Obituary Michael “Mikey” Lee McAlister, Jr. 41, of Myrtle Beach was surrounded by loved ones as he unexpectedly passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019. He was born in Darlington, SC, January 11, 1978 to Renee Kramer and Michael McAlister, Sr. Mikey was survived by his mother, Renee Kramer of Myrtle Beach, SC; his father Michael McAlister of McBee, SC; his three sisters’ Melanie McAlister of Hartsville, SC, Shelley McCormick of Lexington, SC, Missy Rogers of Hartsville, SC, 4 children Marion (19), Darlene (14), Willem (13), and Ashton (9); his maternal grandmother, Joyce Duffee; and his beloved fur babies Nugget and Hoppy. Mikey was a fun loving, hard working, easy going, good time kind of guy.

He was always well groomed and smelling good. He would do anything to make others laugh, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had an immeasurable love for all animals just like his dad.

He also enjoy hosting cookouts at his home to entertain and show off his culinary skills. He had a passion for music including singing and playing the guitar which he had taught himself to play at a young age. One of his favorite songs to sing was “Easy Like Sunday Morning” by Lionel Richie.

He was full of jokes and would have everyone laughing at the next joke before they could stop laughing from the first one. One of his favorite past times was spending time on the beach with his fur babies. He was always up for anything and enjoyed life to the fullest.

A memorial service will be held at Solid Rock Baptist Church (Scipio Lane, Myrtle Beach, SC) on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 5pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Kind Keeper No-kill Animal Rescue (1500 LD Drive, North Myrtle Beach, SC) in honor of Mikey’s love for animals. kindkeeper.
