On Thursday March 14, 2019 Ruth gained her wings. She passed at her home in Conway, SC at 9:30pm. She was surrounded by family.

Ruth was a loving sister, wife, mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and friend. She was always known to everyone as “Mom, Sam, or Nana”. Ruth is survived by her children: Son:Timothy Thompson / Debra Daughter : Kristina Bortell Son: Mike Boutilier / Sarah Daughter: Sandra Jones / Robert Son: Bernard Devoid / Chanda Daughter: Sarah Walters Her Grandchildren: Heather Utton Holly Thompson Brittany Jones Rehanna Becker Caitlyn Becker Cody Devoid Charles Gunter Ashley Gunter Constance Gunter Taylor Gunter Aliyah Durden Her Great Grandchildren: Emma Laura Kayla Kallie There are countless children that she welcomed into her life and family.

She is preceded by: Her Parents: Edward and Doris Her Husbands: Bernard Devoid jr, Charles Walters Brothers: Doug, Howard, Wesley, Bruce Sister: Pauline It is with great sadness that we all say “ Until we meet again”. There is planning for a celebration of life in the early summer. Ruth Walters, you will be greatly missed and the world will never be the same, but heaven has gained a wonderful angel.
