Lonnie’s Obituary Lonnie Eugene “Gene” Prevatte, 55 years old, of North Myrtle Beach, Passed away from Bladder Cancer on Saturday March 9th, 2019 en route from North Strand ER to SECU Hospice House of Brunswick in Bolivia, N.C. Gene was born on September 9th, 1963 to Lonnie J. Prevatte and Mildred H. Prevatte. He married Stephanie Smith on May 24th, 1997 and his only son Stefan Prevatte was born April 16th, 1988. Gene is survived by his wife Stephanie Smith Prevatte, his son Lonnie Stefan Garnett Prevatte, his sister Sandra Fowler, husband Charles Fowler grandson Andrew Faulk and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Gene was a loving husband, father, uncle and friend to everyone. Gene loved to construct diecast model cars and watching western movies especially starring John Wayne. He worked as a general contractor for 30 years, but was forced to give up his career due to his illness.

He loved watching the Georgia Bulldogs play on Saturday and Carolina Panthers on any given Sunday. A special thank you to the people at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick in Bolivia, N.C. for their care and support. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Myrtle Beach Funeral Home for being so understanding and accommodating during this difficult time.

In lieu of a viewing, a Memorial will be held at 1513B Edge Drive, North Myrtle Beach S.C., on Sunday March 17th, 2019 for friends and family. If you are interested in coming, please, text or call 910-859-9369.
