Charles “Charlie” Wade Posey February 03, 1946 – November 02, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Charles “Charlie” Wade Posey, 72, of Walkersville went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital. He was born in Braxton County on February 3, 1946 a son of the late Okey S. and Nina Ratliff Posey. Charlie is survived by five siblings: Richard Posey and wife, Rena, of Orlando, Okey Posey and wife, Nancy, of Ireland, Bonnie Taylor and husband, Pat, of Weston, John Posey and wife, Marsha, of Walkersville, and Mike Posey and wife, Judy, of Tennessee; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; one special cousin, Alice Florio of Newton, NJ; and one beloved Rabbit Beagle, Spot.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by four siblings: Bernice Mae Posey, Patty Redcliff, and Letcher and Larry Posey. Charlie was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Arlington, He enjoyed spending time outdoors walking, riding bicycles, or spending time with Spot and the animals he adored.

The time spent with his mother at the family business “Nina’s Place” was time Charlie always treasured. He was always up for a game of billiards pool, checkers, cards, or Bingo. Friends and family will gather at the Clutter Funeral Home-Alkire Chapel located at 190 Wildcat Rd.

in Ireland from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m. from the Alkire Chapel with Reverend Mike Wamsley officiating. Interment will follow at Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens in Heaters.
