Obituary for Charles Edward Martin Blacksburg — Charles Edward Martin, 76, of 159 Billie Misty Road, passed away Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018, at his home. Born in Blacksburg, he was the widower of Norma Martin and the son of the late Ace and Lily Jane Mosley Martin. Mr. Martin served in the National Guard and worked as a “microbrewer”.

Surviving Mr. Martin is a daughter, Misty Walker Badger and husband, Craig, of Blacksburg; one step-son, Paul Evans, of Blacksburg; three step-daughters, Lynn Westmoreland and husband, Peroone, Sherri Rayfield, and Nina Cobb and husband, Thomas, all of Blacksburg; one sister, Betty Irene Kewerleber, of Forest City, NC; six grandchildren, Chase Gettys, Cassee Badger, Cearra Badger, Charles Caden Badger, Jazmine Badger, and Amber Owens; and numerous step-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Jean Martin. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 5th, 2018, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, July 24th, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Charlie Martin’s Barn, 159 Billie Misty Road Blacksburg, SC 29702, with Rev. Lucky Earls and Rev. Michael Owen officiating.
