Charles Ray Jones was born March 19, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa to Pearle and Winnie (Willis) Jones. He grew up in the Des Moines area and graduated from high school there. He moved to Fort Dodge in 2004 and was united in marriage to Julie Crouse on June 24, 2005.

The couple made their home in Fort Dodge where Charles worked for the Fort Dodge Messenger for 13 years. On July 1, 2018 Charles Ray Jones died at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. A Celebration of Life will be Sunday July 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at 330 Central Ave.

Fort Dodge. He is survived by his wife, Julie and children; Sammy Starits and Susie Jones, step children; Tammie, Tonya and Todd and grandchildren Brayden, Tava, Kanuer, and Brooklyn. He is also survived by his brothers, Timmy, Ronnie and Earl.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Calvin and sister Wilma. Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge was entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be directed to brucesfuneralhome.com.
