Obituary for Ms. Charlotte K. (Welch) Bauer UTICA – Charlotte Kay (Welch) Bauer, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in the comfort of her home after a brief bout with cancer. Born in Adams, NY on September 28, 1936, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Harold J. and Gladys M. (Moran) Welch. She was raised and educated in Watertown Schools prior to coming to Utica where she completed her education.

At one time, she was married to Anton T. Bauer. Charlotte devoted over 30 years of service to the Chicago Market Grocery Stores, as well as her work history at St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital. In her own sweet way, Charlotte was a very loving woman, and her ability to remember and celebrate her family’s special days was amazing.

She was an advocate for having pets in her home, and she cherished them as faithful companions. She also enjoyed tending to her floral gardens, one of her favorite hobbies. Charlotte is survived by her cherished nieces and nephews, Cheryl Zammiello and Rich Goodman, Bonita and Andrew Magyar, Kristine and Brian Massocco, Tamie White and fiancé Stephano Nivaggi, and Michael and Karen Welch; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She shared memorable relationships with friends Loretta Battista, Elizabeth Moran and family, and Joyce who was dear to her heart. She was predeceased by her brothers and sister-in-law, James H. and Irene Welch, and John T. Welch; and her sister, Sharon Marie Welch. The family is grateful to the Utica Police Department who responded with kindness and professionalism; and Charlotte’s physician and healthcare givers who provided medical assistance throughout the years.
