Charlotte Virginia Waddell, age 85, of Johnsville, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born December 15, 1932 on Glissans Mill Rd. , Frederick County, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Olive Norwood Snyder.

She was the wife of Leonard L. Waddell, whom she married on November 2, 1957. In addition to her husband she is survived by sister, Beverly S. Gorsuch and husband Frank of Union Bridge and nephews, Keith Gorsuch and wife Lisa and Kevin Gorsuch. … Read More » She was predeceased by her sister, Madeline E. Waddell in 2017 and her brother-in-law, James S. Waddell in 2001.

Charlotte was a member of the Liberty-Central United Methodist Church, was very family-oriented and devoted herself to caretaking whenever needed. She enjoyed flower gardening and hosting family picnics. There will be no visitation.

A graveside service will be held at Prospect Cemetery, near Mt. Airy, at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 9, with Rev. Jerry Cline, her pastor, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prospect Cemetery, c/o Linda Scheel, 13401B Old Annapolis Rd. , Mt. Airy, MD 21771 or to Liberty-Central United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 337, Libertytown, MD 21762.
