Cheri Suzanne Johnson, age 69, of Glenwood, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019. She was born on July 27, 1949 in Longview, Washington, the daughter of Austin Swindle and Frances Thomas Swindle. On December 10, 1971, she was married to Larry Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Cheri had a green thumb, working with flowers and doing landscaping. Her yard was always beautiful.

For a time, she operated the Little People’s Place clothing store and did babysitting and child care. She was an excellent cook, always having a meal ready and loved being with her family. She attended the Glenwood United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Johnson of Glenwood; four children and their spouses, Becky and Chad Smith of Amity, Brandon and April Johnson of Shreveport, Louisiana, T. J. Johnson of Pearcy and Sarah and Brenton Holt of Bristol, Florida; seven grandchildren, Tanner Johnson, Abagail Smith, Nathaniel Smith, Grant Johnson, Emma Grace Johnson, Harper Holt and Piper Holt; and her great-granddaughter, Rhiannon Boyd. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 17, 2019, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Glen Harris officiating.

Visitation with the family will begin Sunday, 1:30 PM until service time. Guest registry is at www. davis-smith.com.
