Christina Gwen Bankert, 52, passed away September 19th, 2018 at her son’s home, surrounded by her children and loved ones, after battling ovarian cancer for over three years. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 30th, time and location TBD. Tina was born December 17th, 1965.

She grew up in Pennsylvania, but later put down roots in Strasburg. She was always praised for her honesty (whether you liked it or not), loyalty, compassion, and amazing sense of humor. She was… Read More » never afraid to be silly and always stayed true to herself.

In her spare time, she loved mushroom hunting, gardening, painting and drawing, watching “Little Fairy on the Prairie” or “The Young and the Chestless,” taking weekend trips to PA, or just hanging out with her family and friends every chance she could. She is survived by her mother and father, Betty Chronister and James Bankert, and two brothers, Jerome and Dennis. She also leaves behind three children, John Sweeney, Matthew Sweeney, and Lauren Williams, two daughters-in-law, Nicole and Ellie Sweeney, one son-in-law, Jonathon Williams and five grandchildren, Ciara, Mikaela, Jocelyn, Ryan, and Liam, as well as an enormous amount of other family and friends that love and miss her dearly.
