Christine Huckaby May 16, 1930 – January 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card Mrs. Christine Huckaby, age 88, passed away at North Louisiana Medical Center Friday, January 11, 2019. She retired from Stone Container in Hodge, LA as a Bag Inspector. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She fought a long hard battle after having a stroke in February of 2015. She was very loving to everyone she came in contact with and will be greatly missed here on earth, but she is united with the love of her life and I know they are rejoicing together in their heavenly home. She is survived by her two daughters Angie Howard and husband Cliff of West Monroe and Janice Bell and husband Gerald of Quitman.

Two grandsons Jeremy Bell and wife Lori of Sarepta and Chase Bell and fiance Whitney Kinman and her two children Waylon and Weston of Quitman and two loving great-granddaughters Ella and Allie. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Traweek of Monroe; her sister-in-law Betty Huckaby of Jonesboro and many neices and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Crawford Huckaby; mother and father, Golden and Lula Gray; brother, Bobby Gray; sisters, Bessie Durbin and Beatrice “Day” Barrett.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00PM Sunday, January 13, 2019 at First Hodge Assembly of God, Hodge. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM at First Assembly of God, Hodge Monday, January 14, 2019, with Reverends Geary Phillips, Lance Huckaby, and Gene Cumpton officiating. Interment will follow at Gayla Traina Cemetery in Jonesboro, LA under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mickey Traweek, Rodney Traweek, Todd Traweek, Wade Hathaway, David Huckaby and Debbie Fuller.
