Obituary for Christopher DeShone Thomas Twp. , Michigan Beloved husband, father and brother passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 59 years.

The son of the late Marshall and Leona (Loranger) DeShone, Chris was born on November 27, 1958 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Tracy Korbein on August 5, 1989. She survives him.

Chris was employed for General Motors for 36 years. He was a lead vocalist for his band “Sinister Footwear”. Chris enjoyed staying at the family cabin in Harrison where he loved to trout fish in the many nearby streams.

He was an avid sports fan, especially University of Michigan football. Chris will be deeply missed for his gift of humor and the ability to make people laugh. Surviving besides his wife Tracy are two daughters Billie DeShone and Randi DeShone; his mother-in-law, Maryann Korbein; his siblings, Pat DeShone and Marcia Knapp, Penny and Bill Reimers, Tim and Colleen DeShone and Tracy Underwood and John Nivin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vicki and Michael Mikolajski, Dian and Mike Dillon, Pam Korbein, Kelly Rodgers, Holly and Steve Frieders; many nieces and nephews.

Chris was preceded in death by his siblings, Ronnie DeShone, Jean and Larry Rutherford, Nancy Warner and Bill DeShone; his father-in-law, Elden Korbein and by his brother-in-law, Larry Korbein. Honoring Mr. DeShone’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.

Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate.

Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. In Chris’ honor, the family requests you wear your favorite sports shirt, rock band shirt or Sinister Footwear t-shirt.
