Obituary for Janet Greketis Mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, age 81, passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness on Sunday, June 24, 2018. Janet Sulen was born to Hilda (Bitterman) Sulen and Andrew Sulen on April, 12, 1937 in Chesaning, Michigan. Jan graduated from Chesaning Union High School in 1955.

While raising four children, Janet sold Avon for many years. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at St. Mary’s Hospital for 34 years, retiring in 2003. She was an active member of Ss.

Peter & Paul Church for over 25 years. After surviving breast cancer, Jan volunteered at Covenant Breast Cancer Center. For years she also volunteered at the Underground Railroad, Nouvel Catholic School’s Reading Program, and The Bethesda Thrift Shop.

Jan is survived by three sons and one daughter, Greg Lechmann, Manitou Beach, Michigan; John & BethAnne (Witchger) Lechmann, Spring, Texas; Doug & Amy (Bair) Lechmann, Ellicott City, Maryland; Becky (Greketis) and Craig Allison, Pinconning, Michigan; nine grandchildren, Emily, Sarah, Elizabeth, Hannah, Rachel, Benjamin, Megan, Marissa and Grace; seven great-grandchildren; also surviving are four sisters and four brothers, Richard & Charlotte Sulen, Okemos, Michigan; Janice and Jim Ivey, Oakley, Michigan; Leon Sulen, Hale, Michigan; Leonette Wicke, Saginaw, Michigan; Marvin and Terri Sulen, Oakley, Michigan; Marlene & Jim Walker, DeWitt, Michigan; Margaret Hess, Boise, Idaho; and Andrew Sulen Jr., South Bend, Indiana; she also leaves many friends that she met with often for lunch and at the American Legion Hall. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at St. Dominic Parish-Ss.

Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan Avenue in Saginaw. Interment will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit at Ss.

Peter & Paul Catholic Church where the family will be present on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jan’s memory to Covenant HealthCare Foundation: Breast Health Center, www. covenanthealthcare.com/ch/honormemorialgifts.
