Obituary for Mary M. Ponte Loving wife and mother passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018. Age 62 years. The daughter of the late Earl and Margaret (Kunsler) Cylkowski, Mary was born April 20, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan.

She married David Ponte, her loving husband of 31 years, on February 28, 1987. He survives her. Mary earned her RN Degree at Davenport University.

She was employed at Covenant Medical Center for 12 years serving in numerous roles, however, she loved working in the NICU. Mary was a member of Christian Celebration Center. She enjoyed cooking, reading, kayaking and loved spending time with her family.

Surviving besides her husband David are three children, Elisabeth Ponte, Noah Ponte and Mariah Ponte; brothers and sisters, Judith Cylkowski, Kathleen Cylkowski, Susan McDonald, Theresa (David) Schans, Joseph (Joan), Aileen (Bruno) Copiatti, Michael, Patrick, Tom (Ginny), and Earl Cylkowski; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Michelle and Steven Beaubien, Sandy Ponte, Brenda and Chuck Jiral and Kevin Ponte; many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother, Martha, Bernadette and Kevin Cylkowski. Honoring Mrs. Ponte’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Christian Celebration Center, 6100 Swede Avenue in Midland, Michigan. Pastor Pat Rusch will officiate. In lieu of flowers, a Go-Fund-Me page, (www.
