Christopher Joe Hembree, Sr., 43, was resting and the good Lord brought him home May 12, 2018. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM Tuesday May 15, 2018 at Crestwood Baptist Church, 530 Motor Road in Winston-Salem. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the church on Tuesday.

Chris was the son of the late Gary Keith Clayton and Frances Hembree Gilbert who survives. In addition to his father, he also was preceded in death by his grandfather John Thomas Hembree, his nephew Anthony Wayne Gilbert, Jr., and his “Papa” Leroy Gordon. He was the owner of Big Daddy’s Seamless Gutters.

Chris loved riding motorcycles and chipped beef gravy, but his family was his passion. Survivors include his son Christopher Joe Hembree, Jr.; daughter Ashlea Cheyenne Hembree; his first granddaughter who will be arriving soon; mother Frances Hembree Gilbert and Eugene; grandmother “G G” Evie Gordon; siblings Keith Clayton, Jr., Pam Clayton, Marshall Gilbert, Tony Gilbert, Seth Clayton, and Brandon Clayton; his fiancée “Boo Boo” Kimberly Hepler; six step-children and three step-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
