Gaddis Ross, 93, of Connersville, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019, at her residence. She was born on July 25, 1925, in Rushville, Indiana, and is the daughter of the late Charles Hokey and Elsie Walker Hokey. She was a member of the Connersville V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Connersville American Legion Post #1 Auxiliary.

Clara is survived by her husband, Lester Ross; three daughters, Sharon (Gary) Mengedoht, of Connersville, Nina (Charles) Mengedoht, of Connersville, and Ann Gaddis, also of Connersville; fifteen grandchildren, Gary Jr., Melissa, Mike, Jeana, Bernard, Susan, Tasha, Brandon, Tina, Ladeana, Kristy, Regina, Debra, Raymond Jr., and James, as well as twenty-nine great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Bernard Gaddis and James George; two daughters, Judy Hawkins and Cindy Russell; three grandchildren, Terry Powell, Shawn Russell, and Dustin Gaddis; two sisters, Frances Hornsby and Carol Glen; five brothers, John Charles Hokey Jr., Forrest Hokey; William Hokey, Raymond Hokey, and Lewis Hokey. Visitation for Clara will be on Monday, March 11, 2019, from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home, Connersville.

The funeral service will begin at 1:00pm on Monday, with Reverend Bill Powlen officiating. Burial will follow in Laurel North Cemetery.
