Novella Kelley, 81, of Connersville, left her temporary home and entered her permanent residence with the Lord late Sunday evening, May 26, 2019, at Reid Health, Richmond. One of eleven children of Conda and Emma Roy Eades, Novella was born on November 21, 1937, in Clay County, Kentucky. At the age of 14, Novella moved to Indianapolis to reside with her sister.

On December 23, 1952, Novella married Raymond A. Kelley in Somerset, Kentucky, and they moved to Connersville. Mr. Kelley passed away on November 14, 2008. Novella had been employed a Lincoln Centers, Hassler’s Dry Cleaning, and Philco-Ford, retiring from Visteon.

Novella attended Early Methodist Chapel of Connersville and in her leisure time enjoyed cooking, canning, musical instruments, singing, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include five children, Wanda Kay Harrison of Connersville, Sharon Ann (Mark) Kirk of Brownsburg, Indiana, Rosella Sue (Rickey) Mitchell, Juanita June (Kim) Sherwood, and Phillip Ray Kelley, all of Connersville; eighteen grandchildren, Julie, Scott, Brian, Ashley, Jake, Delaney, Ronnie, Heather, Shiana, Jonathan, Angela, Shane, Kenny, Melissa, Ryan, Kevin, Anthony, Crystal; twenty-three great-grandchildren, Austin, McKenzie, Zachary, Savannah, Jacob, Nathaniel, Gideon, Josiah, Matt, Storm, Norah, Courtney, Crystal, Kenny, Gabrielle, Melissa, Jayson, Peyton, Reagan, Talon, Brooklyn, Zeke, and Hannah; a sister, Dewrella (Richard) Yox of Indianapolis; a brother, Russell (Malba) Eades of Multon, Alabama; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many who thought of her as grandma. Besides her husband of over 55 years, Raymond Kelley, Novella was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Odis Harrison; a daughter-in-law, Meranda Kelley; four brothers, Zelmer, Robert, Sherman, and Elwood Eades; four sisters, Marie Polston, Beatrice P. Herman, Shirley Cole, and Inis Eades.

Funeral services will be conducted by Reverend Rollin Mitchell at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2019, at First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in Everton Cemetery.
