Clayton “Clay” Gromling, 66, of Manheim, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Edward and Mabel (Nauss) Gromling. Clay was the husband of Peggy (Ruhl) Gromling with whom he celebrated 41 years of marriage this past April 16th.

Clay enjoyed going to car shows with his 1945 Ford pickup truck. He also enjoyed camping, trips to the beach, a good steak and most all spending time with his family and friends. Clay was always helping others before himself.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Peggy are two daughters, Jessica Gromling of Manheim and Lisa Gray, wife of Robert III of Lititz; two grandchildren, Fallyn and Porter Gray; a sister, Christine Heisey, wife of Ken of Manheim; and a brother, Donald Gromling, husband of Jane of Florida. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Gromling. Family and friends will be received at the Sheetz Funeral Home, Inc. 16 East Main Street, Mount Joy on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 6 PM to 8 PM.

A graveside service will be held at Henry Eberle Cemetery, Mount Joy on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lancaster General Health Foundation, (please note on check for Ann B.
