Obituary for Cleavy Cranford Crane Cleavy Cranford Crane, age 87, went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2018. Funeral services will be held at Salem Heights Baptist Church on Sunday, July 1st. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. and the services will follow at 3 p.m. Interment will be at the Church cemetery.

Rev. Brent Benson will officiate. A veteran of the U. S. Army, Mr. Crane was an engineer for Dresser Industries and was a member of Salem Height Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry L. Crane and Mary Ida Crane and his brothers and sisters, Wyman Crane, Eliza Crane Hamilton, Edward E. Crane, Tony Crane, Henry L. Crane, Dean Crane Summers, and Allie Dean Crane. Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Barbara Crane; daughter, Robin Michele Byrd (Dickie); sisters, Morrell Crane Rigney and Myrtle Crane McCary; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Don Kay, Scott Parrish, Scott Smiley, Harry Jernigan, Kelly Thames, and Jimmy Hendry.
