Obituary for Bobbie Blakeney Hartman Bobbie Blakeney Hartman, born December 20, 1934, went to meet her maker on June 1, 2018. She attended Shady Grove High School in Laurel, MS and graduated valedictorian of her class in 1953. From there she went on to be the most loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

She was a God-fearing woman who read her Bible daily until her eye sight got the best of her. She loved with all her heart and always put others before herself. We were the ones blessed to have had her in our lives.

She truly was loved by everyone who knew her. She was an amazing woman and we will continue to remember her love and goodness until the day we see her again. She was the daughter of the late Gladys Blakeney and Earl Blakeney.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Monroe Hartman, two daughters Carolyn Hartman Sellers and Ruth Annette Hartman, one sister Louise Ford, and two brothers Tony Blakeney and Mitchell Blakeney. She is survived by one son James Edward Hartman of Mobile, one daughter Cynthia (Randy) Doggette of Mobile, five grandchildren Heather Sellers Mai, Holly Sellers (Michael) Willis, Hailey (Bryan) Shores, Jeremy (Holly) Doggette and Blakeney Annette Doggette, ten great grandchildren Randi-Meleah and Mack Doggette, Caitlyn and Lucas Shores, Kayla Davis, Alyssa and Brianna Mai, and Mason, Evan and Levi Willis; one sister Betty (J.B.) Moss, three brothers Charles (Nancy) Blakeney, Roy (Grace) Blakeney, Mack (Rusty) Blakeney, loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Services will be held at Memory Chapel on Thursday, June 7, 2018.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon and the funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Rev. Roy Crouch, III will officiate. Interment will be at Shady Grove Cemetery.
