Obituary for Brenda Joyce Robertson Brenda Joyce Robertson passed peacefully from this earthly life on July 7, 2018 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. She was born March 19, 1941 in Laurel to Nezzie Giles Yarber and Estes L Yarber. She graduated as valedictorian and home coming queen from Sandersville High School in 1959.

Her banking career spanned over 30 years where she worked her way up to vice president of Deposit Guaranty before her retirement. She loved her job and her work family. Brenda had many hobbies and interests.

Among her favorites were collecting dolphins, Fabergé eggs and cobalt blue glassware. She loved pretty flowers and working in her yard. She was a loving, Christian lady who was always taking care of others.

She loved serving her church as secretary and a member of the choir at Bethel Baptist. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nezzie and Estes Yarber, and brother, Rodney Eugene “Ronnie” Yarber. She is survived by her husband, Mitchell Robertson of Laurel; sisters Merdell Thomas and Drennis (Odell) McDonald of Sandersville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
