Obituary for Norman Larry Johnson Norman Larry Johnson, age 76, of Laurel, passed away on September 26, 2018 at the V. A. Hospital in Jackson. Mr. Johnson was born on May 11, 1942 in Jones County and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, B. K. and Jeffie Bailey Johnson; brother, Murray Lee Johnson; wife, Barbara Ann Johnson; and step-daughter, Michelle Saucier.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca “Becky” Johnson; two daughters, Elisha Wren Waites, Samantha “Sam” West (Kevin); grandchildren, Kenzie Waites, Hagen West, Anastin Claire West, and Ray Smith; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Shady Grove on Monday, October 1st. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. with the service to follow at 12 noon.

Interment will be at Shady Grove Cemetery. Rev. Jason Goodwin will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Denny Johnson, Wade Garvin, Carroll Garvin, Jack White, Lewis Goins, Dee Curtis Waites, and Tony Johnson. Honorary pallbearer will be Hal Tadlock. To sign the online guest book, visit www.
