Obituary for Denise Welch Hayes Denise Welch Hayes “D”, 60, went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2018. She went peacefully surrounded by beloved family and friends at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans. To know D was to love D. She was truly a shining light to everyone she knew.

She will forever be missed until we meet her again in a place the Lord has prepared for us in Heaven. D is survived by her husband of 42 years David Hayes; son Cody Michael Hayes; mother Bobbie Welch; twin sister Annise Welch Walters and husband George; four special nephews, Ryan Walters, wife Stacey and son Ryder, Justin Walters, wife Kaycee, daughters Josee and Dustee and son Judson; Zachary Welch, wife Kami and sons Kyler and Kane, and nephew Caleb Welch; and sister-in-law, June Carey. She is preceded in death by her father Hubert Welch and brother Buddy Welch.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Walters, Justin Walters, Phil Dickerson, Kris Breland, Steve Dearman, and Don Crane. Honorary will be Phillip Shaw, Keble “Cuz” Luter, Dustin Pitts, and Bryce Dearman. Services will be held on Thursday, September 13th at Memory Chapel.

Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. and services will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ken Harrison and Rev.
