Obituary for Bertie Marie Sartin Bertie Marie Sartin, age 89, born in Newton County, MS on November 15, 1928, passed away on October 16, 2018 at her residence. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a secretary at West Jones High School. She was member of Indian Springs Baptist Church and also the Union Line Quilting Club.

Mrs. Sartin also enjoyed working in her flower beds and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, McCager Wall and Bertie Bynum Wall; husband, Keith Sartin; and four brothers, Percy, James “Short”, Larry, and Ike Wall. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Gordon Sartin (Kaye) of Laurel and her daughter, Cindy Roberts (Audie) of Laurel; grandchildren, Amanda Rasberry (Clark), Dustin Sartin (Natasha), Brandi McGehee (Bennett), Eric Roberts (Amanda), and Cody Roberts (fiancée Brandy); and great grandchildren, Levi Sartin, Analeigh Sartin, Walker Rasberry, Ben McGehee, Madeline McGehee, Sophia Roberts, Amelia Roberts, and Andrew Roberts.

A memorial service will be held at Indian Springs Baptist Church on Sunday, October 21st at 2 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. To sign the online guest book, visit www. memorychapellaurel.com.
