Obituary for Samantha Jeanne “Sami” Argubright-Russell Samantha Jeanne “Sami” Argubright-Russell, 23 years old, born April 10, 1995 in Texas, died October 2, 2018 in MS. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Joe and Jeanne Hodges Lowe of Laurel, uncles James “Jimmy” Lowe (retired naval officer), Tom, John, and Mark Argubright. Survivors are her daughters Raelynn Jeanne Argubright-Russell (2 years old) and Arianna McKenzie Argubright-Russell (6 months old), parents Dr. Charles and Pamela Lowe Argubright of Laurel, sister and brother-in-law Kevin and Amanda “Mandi” Argubright Biggs, nephew Charles Jacob Argubright, aunt and uncle Gerry and Leslie Lowe Tubbs of Laurel, grandparents Homer and Felicia Argubright of Texas, and uncles and aunts Steve and Janice Argubright, Sandra and Kenny Riley, Cynthia and Alan Smedstad, and Terri Argubright.
She has two best friends and these three stayed extremely close, Josie Hernandez of Illinois and Jordynn Gonzales of Idaho, a whole host of family members, friends, cousins, and a whole host of friends she made during traveling. Sami was an avid swimmer, co-captain on her high school team, winning metals and awards. She was a snowboarder and loved the sport.
She always had a smile and twinkle in her eye. She was excited about the new chapter in her life she had started and looked forward to the future and spending time with her daughters. She never met a stranger and saw the best in everyone.
She loved to travel and see new things; the beach and mountains were favorites. She enjoyed working in our yard. Loved animals and children, if she had her way, we would have many dogs and cats that needed a home.
Visitation will be held at Memory Chapel on Friday, October 12th from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Services will be at Memory Chapel on Saturday, October 13th at 2 p.m. Rev. Shannon Slover will officiate. To sign the online guest book, visit www.
