Obituary for Marie Rustin Nowlin Marie Rustin Nowlin, 84, of Laurel passed away at Comfort Care Nursing Home on October 14, 2018. She was retired from Jones County Schools, and attended Calhoun Baptist Church. She loved to camp and cook for her friends and family.

She will be remembered for baking her famous pecan pies for the people she loved. Visitation will be Tuesday October 16, 2018 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home from 1-3:00 p.m. a chapel service will follow. Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery.

Rev. Chase Sims and Rev. Justin Holifield will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel M. and Eleanor A. Rustin; brothers, Sammie J. Rustin and Daniel M. Rustin; and sister, Lucille Knight. She is survived by her husband, Joe Flynt Nowlin; three daughters, Teresa McCleskey, Nancy Lamar, and Mollie Sims; one son, Charles Daniel Nowlin; two brothers, Robert Joe Rustin, and Benjamin Rustin; grandchildren, Jason and Shai Holder, Brent and Jennifer Holder, Matthew and Ashley Lamar, Chase Sims (Corrinn), Megan Sheehan (Josh), Laken Kimberlin (CJ)and Emely Eckhardt (Angelo); and 14 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
