Obituary for Doris Ola Dykes Doris Ola Dykes, born October 25, 1930, passed away on September 10, 2018 in Hattiesburg, MS at the age of 87. Mrs. Dykes was retired from retail and was a member active member of First Baptist Church of Ovett. She loved her garden and flowers, especially her daylilies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas C. McDonald and Laura Shoemake McDonald; husband, Thomas Glynn Dykes; daughter, Margaret Dykes Cooper; brother, Ibern C. McDonald; and sister, Ellen Lewis. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Danny Dykes (Robyn) of MS; daughters, Rhonda Dykes Stillwell (Jim) and Linda Dykes Neal (Greg) of MS; brothers, Thomas “Buddy” McDonald (Loretta) of AL; sister, Alma Stubbs of AL; grandchildren, Shannon Stillwell Dozier of TX, Cammie Stillwell Weaver of TX, Charles Allen Martin of MS, Kristen Michelle Thomas of AL, Jeremy Dennis of Washington, and Matthew Ryan Bounds of MS; and great grandchildren, Jackson Dozier, Reed Dozier, Myles B. Weaver, Alexander Julian Weaver, Madison Kay Martin, Kade Thaggard, Kadence Danny Thomas, Steven Fox Thomas, Jr., Shelby Elizabeth Fraiser. Services will be held at Memory Chapel on Friday, September 14, 2018.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. and the funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Bro.

Steve Kelly will officiate. Pallbearers will be Steven Thomas, Allen Martin, Matthew Bounds, Jeremy Dennis, Adam Holmes, and Bill Donavon. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackson Dozier and Steven Thomas.
