Obituary for Mary Eleanor Johnson Bush Mary “Eleanor” Johnson Bush, 83, died Friday, October 26, 2018 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS after a lengthy illness. Eleanor was born December 21, 1934 in SoSo, MS and was a member of Plainway Baptist Church. She worked in retail until she retired and loved to cook, sew and spend time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Benny Houston Bush; parents, Robert Christopher Johnson and Lona Lewis Johnson; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Rainey; and two brothers, Percy Johnson and Preston Johnson. She is survived by her daughter, Ouida Hester (Ellis) of Ellisville; one granddaughter, Kim Evans (Aaron) of Brandon; three grandsons, Brian Floyd of Laurel, Wayne Rainey (Toni) of SoSo, and David Rainey of Laurel; five great-grandchildren, Lauren Burch (Chandler), Lauren Lee, Alexis Evans, Piper Rainey, and Alex Rainey; one sister, Elaine Morgan (Marion) of Laurel; a special caregiver, Angela Hurtt (Chris) and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday October 28, 2018 at Memory Chapel from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville.

Bro. Ken Johnson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Tommy McGee, Brian Floyd, Aaron Evans, Russell Pickering, Chris Hurtt, and Ricky Allen.
