Obituary for Lloyd Douglas LaCroix Lloyd Douglas LaCroix, 67, was a long-time resident of Jones County who passed away on July 4, 2018. He was born in Urania, Louisiana on May 1, 1951 to Charles Wallace LaCroix and Thelma Evelyn LaCroix. Doug graduated from Northeast Jones High school in 1969.

He married Shu-Lin Teng in 1973 after meeting in Taiwan during the Vietnam War. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force as a Crew Chief Mechanic. He retired after a lengthy career in the oil industry.

Along with being a Mason and an active member of Chapter L of GWRRA and the Patriot Guard, he was also a dedicated and loyal member of Freedom Baptist Church. He was survived by his wife, Shu-Lin Teng LaCroix; daughter, Jennifer LaCroix Gunther; son, Charles Daniel LaCroix; and three sisters, Gayle Trigg, Barbara Davis, and Evelyn Bush. He is also survived by five grandchildren, seven nieces, eight nephews, nine great nieces, two great nephews, five great great nieces, and three great great nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. July 7th at Freedom Baptist Church with services to follow. Burial will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Rev.
