Obituary for Mitchell H. Holifield Mitchell H. Holifield of Soso, born March 25, 1929, passed away July 5, 2018 at the age of 89. Mr. Holifield was a farmer and enjoyed fishing. He was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Joyce Jefcoat Holifield and son, Tommy Holifield.

Survivors include daughters, Deborah Ann Hilbun and Brenda Joyce Odom (son-in-law, Freddie Odom); son, David Pearson Holifield (daughter-in-law, Candis Holifield); six grandchildren, Chris Odom, Bill Hilbun, Katie Jefcoat, Joey Odom, Rachel Holifield, and Mason Holifield; five great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at Memory Chapel on Monday, July 9th. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and the service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Union Line Cemetery.

Bro. Justin Rhodes and Bro. Freddie Odom will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Chris Odom, Bill Hilbun, Joey Odom, Joey Jefcoat, Mason Holifield, Jeff Yelverton, and Brennan Wade. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Big Creek Baptist Church or Soso First Baptist Church. To sign the online guestbook, visit www.
