Obituary for James William Saul James William Saul, 91 of Meridian, MS formerly of Laurel, MS, born January 8, 1927 died July 17, 2018. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday, July 20 at Memory Chapel of Laurel, MS which is in charge of the arrangements. Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 21 at First Trinity Presbyterian Church in Laurel, MS.

Burial will follow at Erata Cemetery in Jones County, MS. Mr. Saul was a lifelong resident of Laurel, MS until November 2017 when he moved to Brookdale in Meridian, MS. He owned and operated Saul Engineering and Surveying in Laurel, MS from 1971 until 2017.

He was a veteran who served in the Coast Guard, Navy and the Air Force. He attended Jones County Junior College and graduated from Ole Miss in 1953. He and his wife, Lillian, loved to dance.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lillian Davis Saul; father, William H. Saul; mother, Ida Matthews Saul; his brother Clifton Miller Saul and sister Annie Laurie Pulley. Survivors include three daughters, Melanie Saul Alexander (Ric) of Meridian, MS; Nancy Saul Fisher (Chris) of Scottsdale, AZ; Janet Saul Shearer (Dale) of Ridgeland, MS; and one son, Harvey J. Saul (Tammy) of Laurel. Nine grandchildren: Richmond Alexander, William Alexander and Mary Heflin Alexander of Meridian, MS; Meagan Fisher, Kelsey Fisher Krug, Jacob Fisher of Scottsdale, AZ and Shelby Fisher of Tuscaloosa, AL; Mary Kate Shearer and Sam Shearer of Ridgeland, MS.

Six great-grandchildren: Millie and Mary Hixson Alexander of Meridian, MS; Mary Lela Alexander of Meridian, MS; Trever and Conner Beatty of Scottsdale, AZ; Quinn Krug of Scottsdale, AZ.
