Obituary for Walter Lawrence “Larry” Elkins Walter Lawrence “Larry” Elkins, born in Laurel, MS on October 6th, 1951. Larry passed away at his residence Friday, July 13th. He was preceded in death by his parents, W. L. Elkins II and Wilda Patrick West; and step father, Riley West.

Surviving him are his wife of 30 years, Angela Benoit Elkins; sister, Cindy Elkins Green (Eddie); nephews, Brad Green (Emily) and Lance Green (Dena); great nephews, Nicholas Green, Carson Green, and Hunter Green; great niece, Blair Simpson; and great great nephew, Samuel Simpson. Larry graduated from Heidelberg High School, attended JCJC, and attended Mississippi State University. He would go on to become an electrician and founded Elkins Electric.

Larry was an avid outdoorsman and was particularly fond of deep sea fishing. Through the years he enjoyed watching his nephews play sports and as his great nephews came along he rarely missed one of their games. He was Nicholas’ and Carson’s most dedicated fan.
