Obituary for Onyx Eric Poore Onyx Eric Poore, 53, of Laurel, born October 10, 1964, passed away on June 3, 2018 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. Funeral services will be held at Memory Chapel on Friday, June 8, 2018. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and services will be at 12 noon.

Interment will follow at Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Jamie Altman will officiate.

Eric was employed with A & B Pumps. He loved the Bethlehem Community Church, grilling, hunting, and football, especially MS State football where he played wide receiver. He lived to make everyone else okay and happy and was a very selfless person.

He was preceded in death by his sister Theresa Adams, father Thomas “Buddy” Poore and stepfather C. G. “Tuddy” Soley. Survivors include his mother Dean Soley, son Adam Poore, daughter Kristen Poore; brother Chris Poore (Stacey) all of Laurel, three stepbrothers Jeffrey, Johnny, and Joey Soley, nephews Chan Poore, Conrad Adams and Dain Poore, great nephew Colin Poore, and great niece Vivi Poore. Pallbearers will be Adam Poore, Dain Poore, Conrad Adams, Chan Poore, Karson Wardell, and Travis Tolbert.
