Obituary for Oscar Hubert Walker Oscar Hubert “Hu” Walker, 92, formerly of Laurel, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 in Oxford, MS. He was a native of Jackson where he attended school and enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Walker was employed with G.E. Corporation and RCA Whirlpool for many years and retired in 1992 from the automobile business.

He was a member of Franklin United Methodist Church in Laurel. He is predeceased by his wife, Joyce Tyler Walker and his son, James Dana Walker. He is survived by daughters, Libbye Bryant (Jack) of Trussville, AL, Cathy Ballard (Mike) of Saltillo, MS and Karen Bond (Terry) of Heidelberg, MS, one sister, Jean Howie (David) of Brandon, three brothers, James Walker (Ginger) of Waynesboro, Billy Walker of Jackson, Henry Wiltshire (Sherry) of Brandon, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 3rd at Memory Chapel with a graveside service to follow at 11 a.m. at Lake Park Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity that supports veterans. To sign the online guest book, visit www.
