Obituary for Clyde Darrin Godsey Clyde Darrin Godsey, 53, of Watauga, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 27, 2018 at his home. A native of Johnson City, he is the son of Anna Godsey and the late Clyde Godsey. Darrin worked with his father as a roofer for many years, before becoming a pipefitter, for which he worked as for ten years, and retired from Ivy Mechanicals.

He enjoyed four-wheeling with his daughters, singing karaoke, going fishing and hunting, and horseback riding. He also loved to spend time with his friends, and playing poker with them on Friday nights. In addition to his mother, those left to cherish Darrin’s memory include: daughters, Jennifer Godsey and Dawn Godsey; sisters, Sheila Carr (Calvin) and Donna Craft (Brian); a special uncle, Gene Penix; special friends, Steve Scalf and Teddy “Toot” Milhorn; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will gather to receive friends at Tetrick Funeral and Cremation Services, Johnson City on Monday, April 30, 2018 beginning at 5:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM with Minister Roby Ellis officiating. A committal and interment will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Shell Cemetery, Piney Flats. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 AM.

Acting as pallbearers are: Jennifer Godsey, Gene Penix, Tony Godsey, Teddy “Toot” Milhorn, Bill Lowe, Mike Gray, Rocky Scalf, and Conley Clark. Honorary pallbearers are: Steve Scalf, Randy “Brother Lowe” Lowe, and Robert Calhoun. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.
