Obituary for Paul David Brown, Sr Mr. Paul David Brown, Sr., age 79, of Erwin, formerly of Maryland, entered into his Eternal Life on Thursday, April 12, 2018, in the Erwin Health Care Center. He was a son of the late John M. and Maudie Alice Benfield Brown and was born in Roan Mountain, TN.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Brown; two sisters, Pauline McKinney; Jane Alene Johnson; and two brothers, William “Bill” Lee Brown and Frank Lewis Brown. Mr. Brown was a retired truck driver, mainly driving for the moving business. He loved to fish.

Those left to cherish his memory include a son, Paul David Brown, Jr., of VA; a brother, Barney Brown, Roan Mountain; a sister, Patsy Simerly and husband, Ed, Hampton; and a special niece and caregiver, Betty Graybeal and husband, Jeff, Elizabethton. Several other nieces and nephews also survive. A service to honor the life of Mr. Brown will be conducted on Monday, April 16, 2018, at 1:00 PM in the Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace with Rev.

Justin Hodges officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 12:00 – 1:00 PM on Monday prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral service in the Johnson Cemetery at Crabtree (McKinney Hollow Road, Roan Mountain).

Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a heartfelt and special thank you to the staff of Erwin Health Care Center for the love and care shown to Mr. Brown and the family during his time there.
