Obituary for Clyde Collins Clyde Collins – Gate City, VA Clyde W. Collins, 91, Gate City, VA passed away, Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Indian Path Medical Center. Clyde was born in Scott County, VA on December 15, 1926, and was the son of the late Charlie Crockett and Josie (Bellamy) Collins. In addition to his parents, his wife of 68 years, Ruth Quillin Collins and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death.

He is survived by his sons, Jimmy Collins and wife, Maggie, Gate City, VA and David Collins and wife, Sandra, Gate City, VA; grandchildren, Meghan Collins McConnell and husband, Michael, Amy Collins, Carie Collins Stallard and husband, Michael, and Michael Collins; great grandchildren, Blake, Anna, and Haley McConnell, and Emma Stallard; sister, Dorothy Hillman, Fall Branch, TN; brothers, Fred Collins, Kingsport, TN, Paul Collins and wife, Ruth, Bluff City, TN, and Howard Collins, Church Hill, TN; sister-in-law, Leona Hill, Gate City, VA; and brother-in-law, R.F. Quillin; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Gate City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev.

Steve Collins and Pastor Andy Sensabaugh officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 11:15 a.m., Wednesday to go in procession to the graveside service.
