Obituary for Donald Begley Donald Edward Begley-Kingsport, TN Donald Edward Begley, 61, Kingsport, TN was welcomed into the arms of our Father in Heaven on Sunday, July 15, 2018. Donald was born at Ft. Monroe in Hampton, VA on June 9, 1957.
He was the son of Dorothy Brickey Begley and the late Arnold Lee Begley. In addition to his father, his brother Terry Arnold Begley preceded him in death in 2016. Donald was a loving son, father, and friend to all that knew him.
He was a generous, giving, and funny man who had many life time friends. He retired from Waste Management, served as a volunteer firefighter for Wise Fire Department in VA as well as Gray Volunteer Fire Department in TN. Donnie loved the freedom of riding his Harley with his brothers and his friends.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Brickey Begley, children Brandy and Donald McCullough, and Jason Begley and Amanda Cooper; grandchildren Conner Begley, Kian and Lachlan McCullough; sisters, Susie Helen Begley Mays and Daney Peters, and Pamela Begley Jones and Jeff; brother, Bobby L. Begley and wife Diane; nephews, Matt Laney and Beth, Kevin Begley, Isaiah Mays, Jeffery Jones and Tamara, Andy Jones, Jaden and Mitchell Peters; nieces, Cristy McNutt and Rowdy, Autumn Mays and Sean Collins, Wendy Olliff and Brian, Carri Addington; great nephews, Jase Laney, Skylar Arnold, Caden Arnold, and Linden Jones; great nieces, Laura Hall, Blake Laney, Willow Collins, Emilei Addington and Ameleia Addington; along with many friends. A Celebration of Life will take place later this week and will be announced on the Gate City Funeral Home website at www. gatecityfunerals.com, and Gate City Facebook as well as the Brickey family Facebook.
