Torrington- Concetta T. Conti, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Regency House of Wallingford. She was the beloved wife of the late John H. Conti. Mrs. Conti was born in Torrington on April 21, 1916, daughter of the late Antonio and Anna (Murri) Teti and had been a Torrington resident most of her life, before moving to Plantsville in 2004.

She was a lifelong communicant of St. Peter’s Church, Torrington. Mrs. Conti enjoyed reading, crocheting, scenic rides, socializing with her lady friends, and especially, caring for her family. Survivors include a daughter, Lucia C. Smolski and her husband James of Southington; two grandchildren, Erik J. Smolski and his wife April of Burlington and Heather S. Weber and her husband Joseph of Wallingford; three great-grandchildren, Leah P. Smolski, Evan G. Smolski, and Carter A. Weber; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Conti was predeceased by two sisters, Flavia M. Senese and Alice L. Michaud. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 10:00a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 E. Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00a.m. at the funeral home.

At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT 06106 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
